Three programs. One shared principle.
Each course at Lotus Finance is built around a different aspect of financial life after forty — family, investing, and legacy. All three are designed to be worked through at your own pace, in plain language, with practical tools at the end.
Back to HomeHow we build our courses
Every Lotus Finance course follows a development process that places the learner — their context, their pace, and their practical needs — at the centre.
Needs research
We begin by understanding the real questions adults in Thailand are asking at this stage of life — not what they're assumed to need.
Plain writing
Material is written without jargon and reviewed for clarity before being included. If something can't be explained simply, it's simplified further.
Legal review
Any reference to Thai law, regulation, or formal process is checked for accuracy and scoped appropriately for an educational setting.
Annual update
Each course is reviewed annually to ensure that legal references, examples, and frameworks remain current and accurate.
Family Finance Conversations After Forty
A seven-week course that helps adult learners approach financial planning as a shared family practice rather than an individual task. Lessons cover talking with parents about their later-life preferences, discussing household finances with a partner, and considering how to support adult children without compromising one's own later years.
The course offers sample conversation frameworks rooted in Thai cultural norms around respect and indirect communication, along with worksheets that learners can bring into their own households at a comfortable pace.
A Gentle Introduction to Personal Investing
An eleven-week course designed for learners who have set aside savings but have not yet taken a first step into investing. The program explains what happens inside common Thai mutual funds, how fees are charged, how to read short-term fluctuations without alarm, and how to match a portfolio to one's own timeline.
Each module closes with a reflection exercise rather than a test, and learners are encouraged to work at their own rhythm. No prior financial knowledge is assumed or required.
Long View Planning: Estate and Succession
A fifteen-week program for participants who wish to consider how their affairs will be handled beyond their own lifetime. Material includes the practical workings of Thai wills, the role of named beneficiaries on accounts and insurance policies, communication with family members, and the organisation of physical and digital records.
The course closes with a personal planning portfolio that participants can keep updated as circumstances change. Two optional educational conversations with a program guide are included. These are not legal consultations but considered discussions about your questions and how the material applies to your situation.
Which course is right for you?
Each course addresses a different aspect of financial life. Some participants complete one; others find that two or all three are relevant to where they are. There's no fixed order.

The standards that don't vary
Self-paced delivery
All courses are accessible on demand. Learners progress at whatever rate suits their schedule and attention, with no live sessions required.
Annual legal review
Every legal and regulatory reference across all three courses is reviewed annually to ensure accuracy and relevance to the current Thai context.
Learner privacy
Enrollment and participation are private. We handle all learner information in line with Thailand's PDPA and do not share data for commercial purposes.
Plain language standard
All course content is reviewed for clarity before publication. Technical terms are explained when used and avoided when they aren't necessary.
Accessible support
Questions can be sent by email or by phone during Bangkok office hours. Response times are typically within one business day.
Practical outputs
Every course concludes with a tangible deliverable — worksheets, frameworks, or a planning portfolio — rather than a certificate alone.
A question costs nothing
We're glad to help you think through which course — or which combination of courses — might be the most useful place to begin.
